AJ Lee - The Next WWE Diva?

Image
It's rumored that Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) and WWE NXT Diva AJ Lee will be the next lady called up to the main roster for the WWE. AJ has teamed up with Natalya at several live Smackdown events, taking on Rosa Mendes and Alicia Fox. This week she had a dark match at Smackdown taking on Rosa. Interestingly, the WWE seems to be letting AJ ease into the main roster by working with Divas that also came from FCW like Natalya, Rosa and Alicia, as opposed to just throwing her out there. AJ was trained by Jay Lethal and made her pro wrestling debut on September 29th, 2007. Before signing with the WWE, AJ worked for WSU where she held the WSU Tag Team Championship (with Brooke Carter) and the WSU/NWS King and Queen of the Ring (with Jay Lethal). She was signed by the WWE in May of 2009 and went to FCW. There she has held the FCW Divas Championship and was the Queen of FCW. AJ is the first FCW Diva to hold both the Divas Championship and the Queen of FCW title. She

Kharma is Gone...For Now

Image
Wow. I was really excited when I found out the Awesome Kong was going to the WWE. It went against every "Diva rule" and I couldnt wait to see what happened. Well, Kia (Kong) made this announcement on WWE.... Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for her and I really hope she does come back in a year and grinds the Bellas into dust. I just almost wish the WWE had her just vanish and come back in a year. Because now I think we will see a "Monster Face" when she comes back. Anyway, some of the other Divas are getting in on the act via Twitter.... "Didn't expect that one! I respect @Kharma for BeliEVEing &; following her dreams. Just not when it involved planting my face into the ground." -Eve "I volunteer to give @Kharma a treadmill...it's my baby gift to her. Btw for all haters, stop hating im a HUGE @kharma fan myself, I'll buy the baby some awesome gap onesie... And also maybe some baby louis vuitt

WWE divas Joy Giovannie

Image
Who would have thought that a frail, smart beauty, who breezed through high school within just three years would become a wrestler? Well, that exactly is the case of WWE Diva Joy Giovanni, best known as the WWE Diva of the Year in 2005. As a teenager, Joy had always enjoyed fitness activities and in 2001 signed for a personal trainer to further shape and define her physique. In 2001, upon the prodding of hr trainer, Joy entered the Los Angeles Model Expo and won the contest hands down. With this exciting door opening up for her, Joy joined the fitness entertainment industry full time. She also enrolled in an acting school in Hollywood, which eventually paid up when she was casted in the film Instinct vs. Reason. Television soon beckoned and she appeared in hit series like CSI, Monk, Entourage, and Navy NCIS. Around this time, her fitness modeling career is also taking off, highlighted by her appearance in the 2004 Lingerie Bowl, Super Bowl’s halftime segment. 2004 marked Joy’s for

Comic-Con, Marvel Entertainment, Marvel Comics, WWE And Pro Wrestling News Update, by Greg Tingle - 26th July 2011 Comic-Con - Comics And WWE Pro Wrestling Aka Sports Entertainment Do Mix; Just Ask CM Punk And Triple H... What a big week its been for comic book, comic book movie and pro wrestling fans. Wrestling fans are welcoming in the WWE Reality Era or Triple H era, depending upon what cliq of fans you ask, with Mr McMahon relieved of his duties, and CM Punk running a mock, including his apparent unscheduled appearance at Comic Com, where he interrupted the WWE - Mattel presser, and showed off his WWE Title (that he "stole" from the WWE at their most recent PPV event). WWE is mixing together real life situations with storylines in a way which has even hardcore fans and "dirt sheet" writers a bit confused. Sure beats the old World Wrestling Federation days where many stupid and down right insulting gimmicks and unrealistic storylines where shoved down the

The Future Endeavors Power Poll

Image
Welcome to yet another edition of the Future Endeavors Power Poll, a poll ranking wrestlers on a weekly basis based on how awesomely they performed or were portrayed on a Tuesday-to-Monday cycle. It is voted by a who's-who of wrestling bloggers, including my blogging Red Oct-bro-ber, PizzaBodySlam. I will list the top ten, and then post and comment on my ballot. Here goes: 1. CM Punk (Last week: 1) 2. Daniel Bryan (NR) 3. Alberto Del Rio (7) 4. Christian (9) 5. Mark Henry (5) 6. John Cena (2) 7. Rey Mysterio (NR) 8. The Miz (NR) 9. Sheamus (8) 10. Kofi Kingston (NR) And now, my ballot! 1. CM Punk 2. Daniel Bryan 3. Alberto del Rio 4. Christian - I'm pretty sure if I have to explain any four of these votes to you, you're probably legally braindead. 5. Mark Henry - For the splitting of wigs that occurred at Money in the Bank. 6. John Cena - Honestly, I don't feel I need to explain this vote either, but there will probably still be those who say "

BEST. PPV. EVER: WWE Money in the Bank 2011 Review

Image
Peace out, Vince Photo Credit: WWE.com So, what happens when you order a WWE PPV, and you're basically satisfied with every match? What happens when the opening match gives you your favorite wrestler banking a shot at becoming the top guy on his brand? What happens when giants get their wigs split, seven men jostle for position on top of several ladders, grabbing for a briefcase? What happens when they have the balls to strap a guy who may or may not be leaving the company? What happens when you order a WWE event, and you're left thinking it's their best PPV event ever, better than In Your House: Canadian Stampede, better than WrestleMania X-7? You get Money in the Bank 2011. First thing's first, both nominal matches kicked major ass. Let's start with the Smackdown match. I mean, first up, how about the ladder power bomb? Sin Cara showed major cajones taking that move, because man, it looked fucking brutal. I also loved the Road Warrior tribute with Sheamus

Rey arrived to the ring first, as Lawler and Cole talked over the 8-man tournament which got to this final match. Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz WWE Championship Match They showed the superstars of Raw watching the match backstage. Cole said the locker room has a lot of interest in this historic match after what went down last week. Prior to the bell, Cole guaranteed a new champion would be crowned. He had a near fall, then choked Rey against the middlee rope. Miz continued to stay in control after tossing Rey out of the ring and hitting a baseball slide dropkick on him. However, he missed on a running kick to Rey on the apron. Rey was able to hit a headscisso

World Wrestling Entertainment Stadium Crowds

Image
Crowd in wrestling.. This is a WWF wrestling match. The stadium is set up just as it was in ancient greece during the olympics. This shows Barthes' idea of wrestling being a more dramatical experience rather than a sport. See how the crowd is has signs and is cheering? Wrestling is more for entertainment rather than sport.

Highland View 5: WWE vs. TNA

Image
Hello ladies and gentlemen I am Highlander G and before I start this article I have an announcement to make, this shall be my last article for a while! Yes, this is because I am going to be going on holiday very soon and can’t always guarantee internet access for writing articles. However do not despair I shall be back by the start of August. Now let’s get down to business.  Yes as you can see my final topic is the good old debate of whose better, WWE or TNA? Now I know many of you have different opinions but here is mine as to why WWE is the superior of the two main wrestling promotions in the USA. Reason 1- WWE is well known I can almost certainly say that if you walked down most streets in the western world and asked a person to name a wrestling company their answer would be WWE, or in some cases, WWF. That is why, for me WWE is the better company, more people know of it. If you search “ww” into Google the third suggestion is WWE. Now WWE is better known as it has the ability to a

The Top 10 Female Wrestlers

10. Lita Amy Christine Dumas (born April 14, 1975), known by her primary stage study Lita, is the lead singer for the band The Luchagors and retired professional wrestler and WWE Diva from 1999 to 2006.  After briefly working on the independent circuit and in Extreme Championship Wrestling, Dumas signed with World Wrestling Federation in 1999. Originally, she was paired with Essa Rios, but she reached her greatest near alongside Matt and Jeff Hardy as Team Xtreme. Throughout her career, she won the WWE Women’s Championship four times. During her tenure with the company she became arguably the most favourite Diva in the company’s history. Dumas had an off-screen relationship with Matt Hardy, which ended in 2005 after her affair with Adam “Edge” Copeland. WWE used the real-life drama between the trio as a storyline throughout 2005 and 2006, which led to Dumas being booed by the fans for the first time and her character becoming villainous on-screen. The relationship also led to the firi
